The SC110 consists of two cables to connect a data logger with RS-232 DCE and DTE devices. One end of each cable provides stripped, tinned leads for attachment to the control ports on a CR800, CR850, CR1000, CR3000, CR6, or CR1000X datalogger. On the other end, one of the cables is fitted with a 9-pin pin (male) connector, and the other cable is fitted with a 9-pin socket (female) connector.

Most third-party modems require a null modem cable, SC105, SC110 cable, or SC932A to interface with a datalogger. Many modems manufactured by Campbell Scientific can connect directly to a datalogger’s CS I/O port using an SC12 or serial cable.
