updating mySQL to version9.x for site using LNDB

Has anyone set-up LNDB, RTMC Pro, and the CSI web server using mySQL 9.x?  mySQL 8 is nearing end-of-life and my uni is pushing me to upgrade to version 9.  I'm wondering whether anyone has done this and, if so, how did it go?
