I have installed a new version of PC400 on my windows PC and when I try to access a tool (e.g., CRBasic Editor) I get this error message:
Error executing CRBasic Editor.
The file "" does not exist.
You will need to select the location of the application
I installed as administrator and that made no difference.
I have before seen some antivirus programs block part of the software installation process.
Check that the CRBasicEditor exe file is in the right folder.
C:\Program Files (x86)\Campbellsci\CRBasicEditor\
If it is not there, something block part of the installation process.
Verified the tools are in their correct folders and if launched directly, they do work okay. I am guessing there is a problem during installation with wherever PC400 saves the tool folder paths, regiistry or a config file. During the uninstall I directed it to remove everything, hoping that would reset it .. but it did not. I also manually removed the folders from the disk, but still doesn't work. So I am thinking it is a registry issue.
