Hello,
I usually load a "default" program to my Campbell dataloggers memory (CR1000, CR1000X, CR310, CR3000) so in case a program sent remotely doesnt compile or for example if the internal battery discharges and datalogger settings are lost, I dont loose communications with the datalogger. This Default program has just a few lines of code to make the datalogger connect to internet so I can always have remote access.
Default file works with the extension for the datalogger:
For a CR1000, "Default.CR1" works.
For a CR3000, "Default.CR3" works.
For a CR310, "Default.CR300" works.
For a CR1000X, "Default.CR1X" works.
I was trying to creat just one program "Default.DLD" that works for all those four dataloggers but it looks like it won't run, so, If I sent a program to the datalogger that doesnt compile for example, the logger won't run "Default.DLD" in memory. This causes me the need to have four different files (one for each logger) instead of just one file.
Could anybode help?
I've tried this with a CR1000X and a CR310.
Thanks.
Luis
You are correct. Using a .DLD file in this way is not possible. You will have to have a .crX for each logger type.
Hi GaryTRoberts,
Thanks a lot for replying. I know this is a long shot but is there any chance this feature is considered for future firmware updates? Is there any place where users can ask for features or give feedback about dataloggers?
Thanks again.
Here is the place to do it. I will add the request to our database.
Thanks again!
Hi there, is there any news about this?
Thanks
